A Death
in the Family

There's
just been a death in
the family
And the
grownups are acting
all sad
There's just
been a death in
the family
And right
now I feel pretty
bad
I don't
understand what it's
really about
Graveyards
and funerals and
stuff
But I see
the sad faces around
me
And know
that it must be quite
tough

Even the
grownups can't deal
with
The sadness
when somebody dies
Their voices
are quiet, no laughing
And I can
see tears in their
eyes
Wish
there wasn't a death in
the family
But now they
have gone Home
to the sky
Wish I could
make all the grownups
be happy again
I guess they
will be, by and
by
