Autumn rains with golden leaves
Pane-rattling winds and blustery deeds
Autumn's cool is welcome now
We've had enough of heat somehow

And now we face the cold ahead
With numbing skin and icy dread
We all adapt as seasons change
Our lives we have to rearrange

There will be Spring to smile on us
To let us know this world is just
There's not just cold and rain and snow
But sun and light here to bestow

The seasons of our lives, my friends
When some things start and some things end
Would not be real without some pain
