God is Surely With Us by Alice C. Bateman in Memory of My Dad Bill Bateman

God is surely with us
In this, our time of need
He shows us His great power
In thought and word and deed

As our Dad lay dying
God sent one of His own
To introduce the Angels
Who came to take Dad Home

He told Dad that God waited
The time had come to leave
And though we know Dad's there with God
We can't help but to grieve

Our Dad received God's blessings
The Priest annointed him
Then held out both his hands to Dad
And told our Dad, God loves you
He's forgiven all your sins

When the Priest walked from the room
Leading Daddy Home
Dad breathed his last, and left this world
But we'll never be alone

When our tears are finally dry
And we are not so sad
We'll treasure all the memories
We hold of our dear Dad

God is surely with us
In this, our time of need
He shows us His great power
In thought and word and deed
