Happy Mother's Day

The gift of life, so precious
A Mother's loving touch
The miracle of birthing
The gift that means so much

The Mothers give their lifeblood
Bring forth unending joy
It doesn't matter, lovely girl
Or darling baby boy

The bond forever deepens
Souls forged in blessed pain
The struggle to be free at last
With all the world to gain

To all the Mothers in the world
And in my own close domain
I wish a Happy Mother's Day
An old, brand new refrain
