We sat by the waterfall, listening
And feeling the mist of the
spray
We both got lost in the motion
On that beautiful blue sky day
All else was drowned out by the
power
Displayed by the water's sheer
force
Our souls were entranced by
the motion
And the water's clear beautiful
voice
Peace filled our souls as we
sat there
Tranquility hung in the air
And although the water was noisy
We thanked God that we could
be there
The pounding took on its own
rhythm
There was magical music around
We were soon mesmerized by this
music
We knew we were on hallowed
ground
There was a simple and sweet
fragrant beauty
That surrounded us as we sat
there
The flowers more lush, the grass
even greener
From drinking the always-moist
air
Our souls were filled up by the
quiet
That only true beauty inspires
The absorption of this magic
place
Was all that our hearts could
require
We'll come back to this place
very often
To drink of its magical air
To partake of the power and
beauty
That we know will always be
there
This was written from an anonymous
piece of prose my dear,
departed friend Charles Thompson
sent to me. Chuckie T, as he
was known, was the very first person
to illustrate any of my work.
Charles inspired me to learn to
do this myself, although I don't yet
know how to make the lake appelets
Charles made for my poems
{his work is all offline now}.
My niece Val sent me this gorgeous
picture in an email - thanks Val!
Couldn't get much more perfect
for this song!
Love and Blessings to All who Visit.
